Intro to CALGreen and LEED

Law vs. Voluntary Rating System

In use since 2011, the California Green Building Standards Code, CCR Title 24, Part 11 is also known as CALGreen. It’s the law of the land in California: virtually all new building projects have to follow this green building code in order to get a building permit.

California is also a leader in LEED adoption, with 475 LEED projects certified as of the end of 2017.
