Could someone please confirm whether the BREEAMBuilding Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method, the first widely used green building rating system, developed in the U.K. in the early 1990s, currently used primarily in the U.K. and in Hong Kong. rating system would
comply as an alternative green building system for credit GIB
Prerequisite 1: Certified Green Building - under the LEED Neighborhood
Development scheme.

I know that UKAS the accreditation body certify's the BRE against the ISO 17021

Should any particular rating be achieved?

thanks

Viv

I don't think this is allowed, strictly speaking based on the credit requirements. However, you could try to submit it, or request a CIRCredit Interpretation Ruling. Used by design team members experiencing difficulties in the application of a LEED prerequisite or credit to a project. Typically, difficulties arise when specific issues are not directly addressed by LEED information/guide, since there is a good case for it.
