ISO 14001 : 2004 - Certification for Environmental Management Systems & Contractors

I've heard that there is some precedent for construction contractors (under LEED NC 2.2) that qualifies a project for an Innovation in Design credit IF the contractor is ISO-14001 certified which controls the management and operational standards for environmental performance. (see link below)

ISO 14001:2004

Has anyone ran into this before and know what the context is for applying for this ID credit?

IDc1 and contractor certification

I haven't heard of this, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Have you looked for it in the IDc1 catalog that was published by USGBC, showing successful (and unsuccessful) approaches? This is not exhaustive but is the first place I would look. We link to it from the Resources tab on our IDc1 guidance page.
