Announced today by USGBC—the launch date for LEED for Neighborhood Developments is April 29th!

Launch will occur "with two media events in Chicago, Ill. and Washington, D.C.  Political, business and nonprofit leaders, as well as urban planning experts from around the country will attend the celebration."

ND launch

Apologies! I meant to add that the ND launch is expected in late spring. Unfortunately, there isn't a firm date yet, but we're working hard to make it happen as soon as possible. If you're part of a pilot project, I would recommend you get in touch with your USGBC contact if you have specific questions surrounding the launch.

Thanks very much, Cara! Just knowing it's sooner than I initially expected is very helpful. Our new project wouldn't kick off until late this year.

Launch?

Any word on expected launch date for ND? I have a project in pilot, and am also reviewing another mixed use for feasibility of certification in this rating system, but am anxious to provide the client with more specific/concrete info on expected launch date. Anticipated registration/certification fees are not yet posted either, which creates difficulty in providing full soft cost budgets for potential projects. I've written the USGBC without response to date. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
