Alfonso is heading the sustainability in Real Estate practice in France for Deloitte, he’s also the deputy of the Deloitte’s global Community of Practice Sustainability and Real Estate.

Alfonso Ponce-Alvarez, was born in Mexico in 1978, after working for the European Commission as a economic analyst, he joined the French building research center (CSTB) in 2005 where he remain until 2010.
Alfonso served as Board Director of United Nations Environment Program - Sustainable Building and Climate Change initiative (UNEP-SBCI)- from 2009 to 2010 and as Secretary general of the Sustainable Building Alliance (SB Alliance), from 2008 to 2010.
Alfonso is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Alfonso's contribution, particularly in championing the creation of several sustainability forums such as the Sustainable Building Alliance, the International Sustainability Alliance (ISA), the World Green Building Council ‘s European policy Task Force and the Green Building Council of France (FGBC), has contributed to set the environmental assessment community on its successful path.
His research work has received national and international recognition for his leadership and commitment to green building on a global scale.
Among his current interests are an invitation to be a lecturer at the Ecole Supérieur des Travaux Publics, du bâtiment et de l’industrie (ESTP).
Alfonso is a BREEAM international Assessor.
Alfonso is the chairman and founder of FEED, the french representative to the LEED international Roundtable.
Alfonso is a member of the LEED steering committee at the US Green Building Council.
