Carmelito Tatlonghari, MMP, LEED-AP, is an Accredited Professional of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and a Certified Professional of the Philippine Green Building Council’s Building Ecologically Responsive Design for Excellence (BERDE) He works as a sustainable design consultant for certifying green buildings. He is the LEED Consultant of Leighton Contractors (Philippines), Inc. for the construction of the Zuellig Building Project; of Palafox Associates for the DBP Building at Bonifacio Global City; of SM Prime Holdings, Inc. for the Aura at the Civic Center also at Bonifacio Global City. He is a Pollution Controls Officer and was the LEED Compliance Officer of Metro Stonerich Corporation for its LEED Gold Certified Texas Instruments Facility at Clark; and was a Sustainability and Environmental Team Member at Davis Langdon & Seah Philippines, Inc. He was a lecturer at the University of the Philippines National Institute of Physics, University of Santo Tomas, University of the East and iAcademy. He was also an instructor at Mapua Institute of Technology, Adamson University and St. Theresa’s College – Manila. He graduated from the Mapua Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, and from the University of Santo Tomas with a Master degree in Medical Physics. He has done postgraduate studies at Georgia Institute of Technology and Oak Ridge Associated Universities as a health physicist of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant. He has been invited as a subject matter expert by various schools and professional organizations to talk on environmental management and protection, climate change, and sustainable development. He is a charter member of the Green Architecture Advocacy Philippines, Inc.
